ABOUT ME

Hi there! My name is CeCe and I’m a booking manager from San Francisco, currently based out of New York City. While my journey in the tattoo industry began in 2020, my professional background is in corporate event planning and public relations. In 2017, I graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Global Development and kicked off my career in fundraising and event planning for various international non-profits, including CARE USA and Human Rights Watch. I later moved onto the public sector and worked as a congressional staffer for the US House of Representatives. My work in corporate circles and the federal government helped me to acquire the professional skills necessary for running my own business as a tattoo artist manager.

My journey in the tattoo industry began in 2020 when shit hit the fan and I was laid off from my event planning job. In attempt to alleviate unemployment angst, I impulsively got a tattoo from Cori (my first client), which resulted into a job offer as her booking manager.

From there, I built off my professional experience, taught myself various project management softwares, began networking with artists from all around the country, and was able to start my own business as a booking manager.

My favorite part of the job is listening to you, the artist, and developing a booking process that works specifically for your needs. I understand there are particularities unique to each artist when it comes to calendar management and client relations, and it brings me joy helping you articulate those needs into a tangible process that makes your life easier.

While my number one priority is to get your shit together, another aspect of my work that goes without question is empowering you stand up for your wants and needs. This can look like enforcing your work schedule so you’re not tattooing on your days off, helping you say no to a design you’re not passionate about, or even finding the right words to break up with a client. No matter the issue, you can always feel comfortable coming to me to voice your wants and needs. I’ll translate it into a professional manner so you get your desired outcome.
